RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend rotation
• Holiday rotation based on department needs
• Float to Progress West as needed and other departments for similar patient populations
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• BCLS certification required
• No on-call requirements
• Skills preferred: chemotherapy administration and charge nurse experience
• Care for general medical and surgical patients
• Scrub color: light gray/silver
• Epic charting system
• 24-hour orientation required (initial orientation on weekdays)
• Free parking available
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Skills include feeding tube care, peripheral line management, and non-invasive airway management

Facility:

This 110-bed short-term acute care hospital provides comprehensive medical and surgical services with a daily census of approximately 38 patients. The facility features modern Epic charting systems and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The medical-surgical unit maintains 41 rooms and beds, focusing on general medical and surgical patient care with specialized services for chemotherapy administration.
