RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with self-scheduling
• Care for mixed acuity unit patients including medical surgical and progressive care level patients
• Manage oncology and stroke unit patients with MS patients at 1:5-6 ratio and PCU patients at 1:3-4 ratio
• Administer and monitor cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips
• Care for unstable stroke patients and manage BiPAP therapy
• Handle areas of care including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients
• Float as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Weekend coverage required with one pre-approved time off allowed
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have solid neuro experience and 1+ years of experience
• Experience with MS/Tele or PCU preferred
• Must have Indiana state license, compact license, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start
• Use Cerner charting system
• Dress code: red scrub top with black bottoms
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations with daily census of 29-31 patients
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Indiana residents are not accepted for this position
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
