RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6 depending on census
• Every third weekend required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry background and stroke care experience required
• Familiar with post cardiac catheterization care
• Step down or telemetry experience with stroke patients required
• Experience with post cardiac catheterization patients required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required to float between Progress West and St. Peters as needed
• Float required to MS and ICU (assigned non-ICU level/lower acute patients)
• Scrub color: light gray/silver
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Care for adults and geriatrics including total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic patients
• Special procedures include post thrombectomy after 24 hours, post cath, and stroke care
• Average daily census: 16 patients
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
