RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• May float to GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Required to work 2 weekend nights per 6-week schedule (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• Required to work 1 summer and 1 winter holiday (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• Required to be on call for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
• On call coverage required for 2 weekends per contract
• 40 hours of orientation required
• 3 years of experience required with Level I Trauma, Liver and Kidney experience
• BSN degree required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
• PA or compact state license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• Must be skilled in general OR, trauma, cardiovascular surgery, neurology surgery, transplant surgery, and vascular surgery procedures
• Work with all surgical equipment and handle all surgical procedures
• Care for adult patients with daily census of 30 patients across 14 rooms/beds
• Two pre-approved time off days allowed
