Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - SICU

Job Details:

• High acuity ICU with 1:2 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Float requirement to other ICUs and SDUs
• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 28 patients with 32 beds available
• Epic charting system experience required
• 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Travel experience required
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• CVICU skills include caring for post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, aortic dissection, IABP, PA catheter management
• SICU skills include general post-op care for surgical recovery patients
• Transplant recovery experience required for liver, heart, lungs, kidney, and pancreas patients
• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy required
• Preferred experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps
• Emergency team assignment possible during emergency events with expectation to stay at facility
• No call-in policy strictly enforced
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal

The facility features state-of-the-art equipment and provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for critical care and specializes in complex surgical and transplant cases.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
