RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 24-bed intermediate care unit with 1:5 patient ratios (may flex to 1:6 on rare occasions)
• 1-2 years of telemetry experience required
• Travel experience required - first-timers not accepted
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Must be willing to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Care for intermediate medical patients and surgery overflow including TURPS, laparoscopic procedures, eye surgery, oral surgery
• Provide diabetic teaching and wound care in fast-paced environment
• Skills required: cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, central line care, PICC line management, heparin protocols, PCA management, wound care
• Work with Epic charting system
• Wear navy scrubs
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license at submission
