Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, NIHSS (all must be AHA certified)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• May float to other units within scope of practice at hospital, including Summit or Herrick Campus
• Shuttle provided if floating is requested with 1.5 hours notice prior to shift start time
• Must be flexible with floating to different campuses or within the hospital
• Responsible for overall management of nursing care from admission to discharge
• Provide competent, compassionate and cost-effective patient care
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments within 24 hours of admission
• Administer treatments and medications in a timely manner
• Coordinate care delivery and serve as liaison between nursing and medical staff
• Exercise clinical judgment and critical thinking in emergency interventions
• Complete modules during orientation (1-5 hours average, recorded through e-learning)
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Only one holiday time off will be approved
