RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts with every other weekend coverage required
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratios during nights and weekends
• Must be able to handle 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg when needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• New York license must be in hand to submit - no exceptions
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Float to ICU units as needed
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for patients with cardiovascular conditions including heart failure
• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, ECMO, LVAD, RVAD, and balloon pump
• Manage patients on ventilators, arterial lines, and various cardiac drips
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours)

This tertiary care hospital features 528 total staffed beds and operates a specialized 8-bed CVICU unit with an average daily census of 7 patients. The facility provides comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized interpretation services. The unit is equipped with advanced cardiac technology and maintains high standards for critical care delivery.
