RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on medical surgical unit caring for general medical and surgical patients
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Every third weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation based on department needs
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required by compliance deadline
• No on-call responsibilities
• Will float to Progress West facility as needed and to other units (surgical, telemetry)
• 24-hour orientation provided on weekdays
• Light gray/silver scrubs required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Skills preferred: chemotherapy administration and charge nurse experience
• Additional skills include feeding tube care, peripheral line management, and non-invasive airway management
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• 41-bed unit with daily census of 38 patients
• Adult patient population
• Must reside outside 75-mile radius

This 110-bed short-term acute care hospital provides comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The facility features Epic charting systems and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The medical surgical unit operates with 41 beds and maintains a typical daily census of 38 patients, providing care for general medical and surgical diagnoses.
