RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit with 1:5 patient ratios
• 2 years of experience required, previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 12 hours of orientation required
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Floating required between all MSI units including ED for inpatient holds
• Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must complete pre-start EMR modules (3 hours, non-billable)
• Infusion pump and glucometer training must be completed by Sunday prior to start date
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various conditions including cardiac monitoring, post-surgical patients, and neurological cases
• Skills include IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line management, cardiac drip titration, wound care, and respiratory management
• Work with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
