Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• 13-week assignment working day shifts
• Patient ratios: 2:1 during days, 2-3:1 during nights and weekends
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Required to work 3 weekends out of every 6-week scheduling period
• Work every other holiday
• Must float to PICU, Pediatrics, Postpartum, and L&D (baby catcher)
• Care for neonates and infants in 54-bed Level III/IV NICU
• 2 years of experience required with 3:1 patient ratio experience
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required, Level IV highly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate
• Epic charting system experience required
• BSN preferred
• Nursys verification required for submission
• VA license can be pending but must be in-hand Wednesday before start date
• Must have strong experience with high frequency ventilators, conventional ventilators, iNO, trachs, CPAP/BiPAP, IV fluid management, hemodynamic support, post-op care, and whole body cooling
• Assist with intubations, lumbar punctures, PICC placements, and umbilical line placements
• Up to 40 hours of time off approved per contract, but cannot take time off first two weeks of assignment
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Non-billable modules up to 16 hours during orientation

This academic medical center features a comprehensive 54-bed Level III/IV NICU that provides advanced care for the most critically ill neonates and infants. The facility specializes in treating extreme prematurity cases from 22 weeks gestation and above, along with complex cardiac anomalies, neurologic conditions, and various genetic disorders. The NICU is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including ECMO, Arctic Sun cooling systems, Drager ventilators, and advanced respiratory support equipment, supported by interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and specialized pharmacy services.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
