RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 2 years of recent specialty experience required with full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months
• Travel experience required, first-timers not accepted
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days and nights
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Regular floating required between departments, units and facilities as needed
• Must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for patients who have undergone bariatric surgery, urology cases, hepatobiliary procedures, colorectal surgeries, and trauma patients
• Manage post-operative pain control via epidural, PCA, ketamine drip, and lidocaine infusion
• Handle continuous bladder irrigation, various surgical drains, chest tubes, wound care, and wound vacs
• Skills required: MS/Tele, PCU/Stepdown experience, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, feeding tube care, PICC line management, IV insertion and maintenance
• Daily census of 20 patients treating adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• No on-call requirements
• Locals within 75-mile radius not accepted
