RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required
• Must have or be willing to obtain ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Additional preferred certifications: NRP, NIHSS
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in 42-bed emergency department with daily census of 200 patients
• Skills required include dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, and trauma care
• Handle diverse emergency conditions including CVA, burns, psychiatric holds, drug overdoses, gunshot wounds, and traumatic amputations
• Perform procedures such as 12-lead EKGs, blood product administration, IV insertion, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and triage
• Work with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Expected to work some holidays
• Must complete on-site drug screening
• All documentation due 3 business days prior to start date
• Must maintain active nursing license before start date
