RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Patient ratio of 5:1 during days and nights
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract period
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed
• Must have 2 years of recent specialty experience with full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Compact License
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for patients who have undergone bariatric surgery, urology cases, hepatobiliary procedures, colorectal surgeries, and trauma patients
• Manage post-operative pain control via Epidural, PCA, Ketamine drip, and lidocaine infusion
• Experience required with MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skills needed: feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, PICC line management, IV placement and maintenance
• Competency required with surgical drains, chest tubes, wound care, wound VACs, and isolation precautions
• Age groups served: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with daily census of 20 patients
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Travel experience required
