RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 12-hour orientation required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 during days and nights
• Every other weekend requirement
• On call/call off based on census
• Possibility to float to ER or Med/Surg (floating to Med/Surg is last resort)
• When floating to ER or Med/Surg, nurse/patient ratios are 1:4-5
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census ranges from 4-6 patients in a 9-room, 6-bed unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be AHA certified)
• BSN degree required
• California RN license required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Must be comfortable with advanced ICU skills including CVVHD/CRRT, ventilator management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and procedural sedation
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Non-billable modules completed during orientation (average 1-5 hours)
