RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with rotating weekends and holidays
• No call responsibilities required
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:7 on days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Unit has 39 beds with daily census of 28 patients
• 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours non-billable orientation
• Required certifications: AHA BLS
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with charting systems required
• Skills required: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty based on census
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing compliance
• Complete non-billable modules averaging 4-5 hours during orientation
• Traveler's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from hospital service area
• License in-hand required with submission

The facility maintains interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support. The hospital emphasizes nursing education and professional development, expecting all nursing staff to actively participate in clinical student education and mentorship programs.
