RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with night schedule, weekdays, every other weekend
• Float required to Stepdown Unit and may be floated to ED/MedSurg to care for ICU patients being held
• Holiday coverage required within contract
• 48 hour contract with overtime available after 48 hours (overtime billed after 48 on 4x12 schedule)
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Strong neurology experience required including post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke care
• Skills required: ventilators, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia and emergency management
• 3 years critical care experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with less experience)
• Travel experience preferred
• Must be EPIC proficient - no exceptions
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
• VA or Compact license required in hand at time of submittal
• EKG testing required with 80% passing score - one attempt only, no remediation
• 3 hours of billable modules required to be completed pre-start
• Care for patient populations including neurosurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis and MODS, heart failure and post-cardiac cath
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• No license or background hits will be considered
