RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (overtime billed after 48 hours on 4x12)
• Night shifts, weekdays, every other weekend required
• Float to other units as needed including Stepdown Unit, ED/MedSurg to care for ICU patients being held
• Holiday coverage required within contract period
• 48 hour contract with overtime available after 48 hours
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Must have strong neuro experience (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke)
• Required skills: Vents, IV drip titration, Telemetry monitoring, Conscious Sedation, Dysrhythmia and emergency management
• 3 years Critical Care experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with less experience)
• Travel experience preferred
• Must be EPIC proficient - no exceptions
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
• Virginia or Compact license required in hand at time of submittal
• Must pass EKG testing with 80% or higher (one attempt only)
• 3 hours of pre-start modules required (billable)
• Care for patient populations including neurosurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis and MODS, heart failure and post-cardiac cath
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
