RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 3x12 schedule with every third weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6 patients
• Required to float between Progress West and St. Peters as needed
• Float required to MS and ICU (assigned non-ICU level/lower acute patients that align with skill level)
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required with stroke care background
• Experience with post cardiac catheterization patients required
• Step down experience or telemetry experience with stroke patients preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub color: light gray/silver

• Care for adults and geriatrics with total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic conditions, and oral surgery
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, post cardiac angiogram care, stroke care, wound care, IV management, and various other telemetry unit competencies

Facility:

This short-term acute care hospital features 110 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services including cardiac care, neuroscience, and surgical services. The facility operates with modern EPIC charting systems and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The telemetry unit maintains a daily census of 29 patients across 31 beds and specializes in post-thrombectomy care, post-catheterization patients, and stroke care.
