RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12 hour variable shifts ranging from 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a
• Every other weekend rotation required with no call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 4:1 during night shifts
• 72 hours of orientation provided
• Must have CA RN licensure and minimum 1 year of ED RN experience
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS - all certifications must be AHA and in hand at time of submittal
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must be available to float to other CPMC campuses for support when census permits within scope of practice
• Travel experience required with 50 mile travel requirement
• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Provide competent, compassionate patient care in accordance with evidence-based nursing practice
• Skills required include STEMI and stroke certified facility protocols, multisystem organ dysfunction management, arterial and central line management, IV sedation and vasopressors, trauma care, psychiatric holds, chest tube management, ventilator care, triage, and emergency medications
• Must complete modules during orientation (1-5 hours average) through e-learning system
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Only one holiday will be approved for time off
