RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with 1:5 patient ratios
• Minimum 4 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• 3 guaranteed shifts per 13-week contract period
• Regular floating required between departments, units, and facilities
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Must have 2 years of recent specialty experience with community hospital experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, CPI preferred
• Must be comfortable with Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses or compact license
• Navy scrubs required
• EPIC charting system
• Free parking provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including AMI, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, chest pain, sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleeds
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, central line management, chest tube care, tracheostomy management, wound care
• No on-call requirements
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• 2 references required from past year experience

Facility:

This community hospital features 240 total staffed beds with a 16-bed ICU and a 25-bed medical surgical telemetry unit. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac care services including pre and post cardiac catheterization care, telemetry monitoring, and intermediate level care. The hospital maintains modern equipment including telemetry monitoring systems and offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
