RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 schedules available
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• No call responsibilities
• Floating required to Medical Surgical units with 1:7 patient ratios
• PCU patient ratio 1:5, float to MS with 1:7 ratio
• Must have minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Previous PCU experience required - this is a hybrid unit
• Must have at least 1 year PCU experience within past 2 years documented on work history
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS, AHA ACLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must be comfortable with trauma ICU stepdown patients
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 24 hours of orientation provided (16 hours non-billable)
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• 24/7 phlebotomy, rapid response team, and supervisor support available
• Traveler's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from hospital service area
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit serving as a trauma ICU stepdown unit with 33 beds and a daily census of 33 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains 24/7 support services and focuses on preparing future nurses through active clinical education programs.
