RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required with no on-call requirement
• ED Hold position with required float to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry when not utilized in ED holding
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must be willing to float to other locations if census is low on home unit
• 2 hours of orientation required
• 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• All certifications must be AHA and available at time of submittal
• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle 120 daily census with 32 rooms and 36 beds
• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, dressings, medication administration
• Work with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Demonstrate evidence-based practice knowledge and patient advocacy skills
• 7-year work history verification required
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)
