RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• ED Hold position with required floating to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units when not utilized in ED holding
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts
• 2-hour orientation period
• Must demonstrate understanding of evidence-based practice and knowledge of pathophysiology
• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, Foley catheter placement, and wound dressings
• Provide effective patient and family education
• Use telemetry monitoring, IV equipment, and ventilator management
• Administer medications safely and recognize changes in patient condition
• Work with Epic charting system (experience preferred)
• Care for patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Handle daily census of approximately 120 patients with 120 visits per day
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS
• 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must be willing to float to other facility locations if census is low
• 7-year work history verification required
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
