RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts with self-scheduling
• Patient ratios vary by acuity: Medical surgical patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Float as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals
• Weekend coverage required, must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• One pre-approved time off period allowed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Must have solid neuro experience
• Will accept MS/Tele or PCU RNs
• Dress code: Red scrub top with black bottoms
• Use Cerner charting system
• Free parking available
• Care for mixed acuity unit including medical patients and progressive care patients
• Manage cardizem, amio, and insulin drips
• Work with unstable stroke patients and BiPAP
• Handle oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients
• Daily census of 29-31 patients across 31 rooms and 31 beds
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work with interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
