RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Night shift position in Medical Surgical unit
• Every other weekend rotation required
• 1 year experience required, 2+ years preferred
• First time travelers allowed
• ASAP start date, no later than 4/13
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights
• Float to similar units within acuity level
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, geriatrics
• 28-bed unit with daily census of 21 patients
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Block scheduling available on case-by-case basis
• Free parking in unrestricted areas
• Work with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, medication administration, and various medical-surgical procedures
• 50-mile radius restriction applies (local rates for those within 50 miles)
