RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ER; Additional Notes from VMS= Urgent backfill needed

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years experience required in ER of equivalent size (40+ bed ER, 200+ visits/day)
• Level II or III trauma experience required
• Recent ER travel experience preferred (within past 6-8 months)
• Care for adults and children across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in 42-bed emergency department with daily census of 200 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must be willing to obtain if offered)
• Additional certifications: NIHSS, NRP
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• RTO required with submission, expect to work some holidays
• Must maintain active license before start date (pending license accepted with submission)
• Local radius: 50 miles, local candidates not accepted
• Hard document due date: 3 business days prior to start
• On-site drug screen required with comprehensive panel testing
• Handle diverse emergency cases including trauma, medical emergencies, psychiatric holds, and procedural sedation
• Interdisciplinary support available: Respiratory Services, Social Services, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions allowed

This healthcare facility operates a busy 42-bed emergency department that serves a high-volume patient population with over 200 daily visits. The emergency department provides comprehensive trauma care with Level II or III capabilities, treating patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics. The facility maintains modern equipment and utilizes Cerner electronic health records, while providing strong interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, social services, and pharmacy support to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
