RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts in LTAC Med Surg/Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 12-hour orientation required
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day with only one chance to pass
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 2 years of experience preferred; will consider 1+ year on case-by-case basis
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend coverage as needed
• On-call requirement: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Float to lower level of care within skillset based on critical staffing needs
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including acute respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation, sepsis, osteomyelitis, acute renal failure, pneumonia, and heart failure
• Work with mechanical ventilation, dialysis, and Vapotherm equipment
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, ventilation modes, vent training for home, weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Must be able to pass fit test onsite; shaving may be required
• Attendance policy: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract cancellation
• All time-off requests must be included on initial submission
• Pending license accepted but must obtain before starting

This long-term acute care hospital specializes in restorative care with 95 beds and a daily census of 32 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The hospital focuses on treating patients requiring extended medical care and mechanical ventilation support in a specialized healthcare environment.
