RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts with weekdays, every other weekend, and holiday coverage within contract
• 48-hour contract with overtime available after 48 hours on 4x12 schedule
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Must have strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke)
• Required skills include ventilator management, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia and emergency management
• Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and may be floated to ED/MedSurg to care for ICU patients being held
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
• Virginia or Compact license required at time of submittal
• Must be EPIC proficient
• 3 years critical care experience preferred, will consider strong candidates with less experience
• Travel experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing with 80% or higher (one attempt only, no remediation available)
• Complete 3 hours of billable modules pre-start
• Care for patients with neurosurgical and post-stroke conditions, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis and MODS, heart failure and post-cardiac cath
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• No license or background hits will be accepted
• Must be able to pass fit testing (PAPR accommodation not available)
