RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work in outpatient surgery center with no call, no weekends, and no holidays
• Maximum of 2-3 consecutive weekday return-to-office days
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
• 2 years of experience required in service line
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have current nursing license in hand at time of submittal
• Travel experience preferred
• Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
• Skills include ambulatory/outpatient care, Phase I PACU, pre/post operative care, dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Experience with conscious sedation, general/local/MAC anesthesia, nerve blocks required
• Must be competent in malignant hyperthermia protocol and pain assessment & management
• RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale) experience needed
• Specialties include ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, tonsillectomy, cholecystectomy
• Emergency medication administration and pediatric patient management required
• Airway assessment and oral/nasal airway placement skills needed
• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Modules completed during orientation average 6-8 hours
