RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 2 years of nursing experience required with travel experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float between South and North campus as needed
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Self-scheduling system
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical diagnoses
• Handle TIA/CVA patients appropriate for 1:5 ratio and peripheral catheter patients
• Does not accept cardiac patients requiring cardiac drips/insulin drips
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required include cardiac telemetry, central line care, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, and wound care
• Work with Alaris IV pumps and Sara Steady/Hoyer lift equipment
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must complete drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Must reside outside 150-mile radius from facility
• Previous permanent staff must be gone 1 year before returning as traveler
• Hard document deadline: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date
• Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation

Facility:

This medical center operates a 16-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 11 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization utilizes advanced technology including tele-neuro and tele-psych camera systems and maintains high standards for patient care with specialized equipment and support services.
