RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 6-bed ICU with 9 total rooms and daily census of 4-6 patients
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratios for both day and night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement with on-call/call-off based on census
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Possibility to float to ER or Med/Surg (floating to Med/Surg is last resort)
• When floating to ER or Med/Surg, comfortable with 4-5:1 patient ratios required
• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all must be AHA certified)
• BSN degree required
• California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Extensive ICU skills required including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients
• Additional skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, continuous IV sedation, hemodialysis, and emergency medication administration
• 7-year work history verification required
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)

This healthcare facility operates a modern 6-bed intensive care unit within a 9-room department, maintaining low patient ratios to ensure quality critical care. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The ICU is equipped to handle complex critical care cases with advanced monitoring and life support capabilities, serving patients across all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics.
