RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with liver transplant call responsibilities
• Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts
• On-call requirement of 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month
• Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience (non-negotiable requirement)
• Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment
• Experience required in transplanting organs into new patients, not just harvesting
• Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross ACLS, BLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Participate in teaching responsibilities with students and new staff
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• 40-hour orientation required
• Must complete time-sensitive modules (6-15 hours average) pre-start and annually
• EKG and pharmacy tests required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each
• Must be nicotine-free with negative 10-panel plus nicotine drug screen required
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront at time of application
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 55-60 patients in 18-room operating suite
