Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Technologist

Job Details:

• Conduct procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data
• Verify patient identification using professional manners and methods, obtain patient history, and ensure patient safety
• Document pregnancy status on patients of child bearing age
• Obtain images per protocols and manipulate images according to established protocols
• Perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of CT algorithms and select appropriate window and level settings according to anatomy
• Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols
• Establish intravenous lines and administer IV contrast following safe injection procedures
• Follow correct procedures to determine contrast eligibility and check appropriate lab values before contrast injection
• Maintain thorough understanding of PACS and transmit images to QC, EMR, EPIC and PACS
• Verify and segment images at QC station and complete/modify/cancel orders appropriately
• Must have previous Siemens experience
• Open to travel and local candidates
• Completion of accredited educational program in Radiological Science required
• Must be registered with American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible
• Advanced certification in CT required
• Must maintain current competency in HCP BLS
• Must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry status annually
