RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery
• Work primarily in circulating position with scrub experience as an additional skill
• Maintain sterile and safe surgical environment
• Perform patient assessment and provide pre and post-operative patient education
• Monitor patient's physical and emotional well-being throughout surgical care continuum
• Care for pediatric to adult patient population
• Work in 14 operating rooms with coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections
• Handle approximately 50 procedures per day across all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology
• Strong skills required in vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery
• Must have 2+ years current OR experience
• Experience required in vascular, ortho trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT
• Travel experience required
• EPIC experience mandatory
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have both scrub and circulate experience
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have own vehicle
• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
• One call per month if needed
• Weekend schedule to be determined
• Must complete training from approved de-escalation programs
• 14-panel drug screen required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License required
