Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Perform technical radiographic assignments using complex skills and knowledge of CT and radiologic technology principles
• Operate radiographic, CT, image processors and other related equipment across different modalities
• Provide diagnostic radiographic studies and operate portable diagnostic equipment as needed
• Maintain competency in two specific modalities
• Evaluate images for quality and demonstrate accurate positioning based on procedure guidelines
• Provide care to patients across all age groups: infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric
• Perform radiographic and CT studies with and/or without IV contrast enhancement including brain, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine, facial, and extremities
• Ensure proper radiation protection for self, patients, and personnel using collimation, lead shielding, and appropriate techniques
• Demonstrate competency in RIS and PACS systems for entering and editing patient exams and charges
• Provide clear instructions during procedures to calm patients and relieve stress
• Follow NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines and perform required quality control activities
• Follow infection control protocols according to Universal Precautions
• Demonstrate flexibility for emergency call coverage on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Required certifications: ARRT, NYS License, BLS
• Minimum 1 year CT Tech experience with solid Rad Tech/X-Ray experience OR C-Arm experience required
• Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens anticipated with potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissues
