Opportunity:

RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• Work days, evenings, nights, or rotating shift schedules as needed
• On-call and call-back responsibilities required
• Charge nurse duties as assigned
• Holiday and weekend coverage as needed
• Care for adult patients requiring additional observation to determine admission need or safe discharge home
• Work in fast-paced environment with 20-27 patient turnovers per day
• Manage patients with average length of stay of 27 hours
• Care for diverse adult population including emergency observation and admitted boarding patients
• Handle patients ranging from short stay to full admissions
• Work with 24/7 provider coverage support
• New York RN license required
• Two years of Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), ACLS (AHA ONLY)
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
