Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work Sunday through Thursday night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 37.5-hour weekly schedule
• Dual modality CT/X-ray technologist position
• Free housing available if needed
• Work independently without supervision
• Perform Cat Scan imaging exams with proficiency
• Use and apply pediatric immobilization devices following safety precautions
• Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas
• Prepare written documentation including informed patient consent and patient chart documentation
• Observe sterile and aseptic techniques when necessary
• Regularly check equipment, supplies and accessories
• Assess physical needs of adult and geriatric patients
• Recognize and alleviate patients' fears and apprehensions about exams
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas
• Complete examinations in timely manner while observing radiation safety standards
• Address special needs of each age group and assist with accommodations for hearing impaired and physically challenged patients
• Observe Bio-Safety and Radiation safety rules and regulations
• Perform duties in PACS system
• Must be computer literate and able to select and operate equipment as directed
• Required: High School diploma or equivalent, graduate of Radiologic Technology program, NYSDOH license, ARRT certification, BLS AHA certification
