Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Perform technical radiographic assignments using complex skills, judgment and knowledge of radiologic technology principles
• Conduct diagnostic radiographic studies as requested and operate portable diagnostic radiographic equipment
• Operate radiographic and CT equipment with accuracy across different modalities
• Evaluate images for quality and demonstrate accurate positioning based on procedure guidelines
• Provide care to patients of all ages including infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Perform radiographic and CT studies with and/or without IV contrast enhancement including brain, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine, facial, and extremities
• Maintain competency in two specific modalities and demonstrate proficiency in RIS and PACS systems
• Ensure proper radiation protection for self, patients, and personnel using appropriate collimation, lead shielding, and techniques
• Provide clear instructions during procedures to calm patients and relieve stress
• Follow NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines and perform required quality control activities
• Demonstrate flexibility for emergency call coverage on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Required certifications: ARRT, NYS License, BLS
• Minimum 1 year CT Tech experience with some x-ray experience required
• OR C-Arm experience required for 1 year
• Philips CT experience preferred
• Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens reasonably anticipated
