RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• Work days, evenings, nights, or rotating shift schedules as needed
• On-call and call-back responsibilities required
• Charge nurse duties included
• Holiday and weekend shifts as needed
• Care for adult patients in a fast-paced observation unit environment
• Manage 20 to 27 patient turnovers per day with average length of stay of 27 hours
• Provide care for diverse adult population including emergency observation and admitted boarding patients
• Monitor patients to determine if admission is necessary or if safe discharge is appropriate
• Work with 24/7 provider coverage support
• Two years of Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• New York RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS certification preferred
