RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work rotating day/evening/night shifts including weekends and holidays
• On-call and callback responsibilities as needed
• Charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs
• Must have stepdown/PCU experience required
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Two years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Telemetry experience
• Preferred certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
• New York RN license required (only NY licenses accepted)
• Experience required with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains
• Must be competent with 3% normal saline and cardene drips, arterial lines
• Experience with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS insertion procedures
• Knowledge of VP shunts and seizure management required
• May serve as preceptor and committee member
• Provide competent care based on established standards under nurse manager direction
