RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - OR PACU

Job Details:

• Call rotation response time for PACU is 60 minutes
• Typically 1 on-call day per week and approximately 3 full weekends on-call during contract
• Float between Geneva General Hospital and Finger Lakes Surgery Center
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all through AHA or RQI only) and NIHSS
• NYS RN Licensure required
• Apply nursing knowledge and skills in delivery of patient care
• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and observation
• Create developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant, individualized care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members
• Promote, advocate for and protect patient health, safety and rights
• Provide patient and family education for self-care beyond hospitalization
• Delegate tasks consistent with individual education, training, and scope of practice
• Document education provided and patient/family response
• Demonstrate skill in medication administration and clinical interventions
• Provide care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations
• Promote comfort and provide emotional support in healing environment
• Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated
