RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work rotating D/E/N shift schedule including weekends and holidays
• On-call and callback responsibilities required
• Charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs
• Must have stepdown/PCU experience required
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• New York RN license required (NY licenses only accepted)
• Experience required with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains
• Must be comfortable with 3% NS and cardene drips, arterial lines
• Experience with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips procedures
• Knowledge of DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator) and VP shunts required
• Seizure management experience required
• Expanded role may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities
• Provide competent care based on established standards under direction of Nurse Manager
