RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work rotating day/evening/night shift schedule including weekends and holidays
• On-call, callback, and charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs
• Must have stepdown/PCU experience - this is required
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Minimum two years of nursing experience required
• New York RN license required (NY licenses only accepted)
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Telemetry experience required
• ACLS preferred (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Must have experience with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains
• Experience required with 3% normal saline and cardene drips, arterial lines
• Must be familiar with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips procedures
• Experience with DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, and seizure management
• Expanded role may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities
• Provide competent care based on established standards under nurse manager direction
