RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a Level II trauma center emergency department with over 100,000 annual visits
• 101-bed emergency department with patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Every other weekend schedule requirement with flexible scheduling to meet department needs
• Float to all sections within the emergency department but no floating outside of ED
• Must have minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Navy scrubs uniform required
• Follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful patient experience standards
• Update patient boards and communicate with patients throughout visit
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department required
