RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume Emergency Department with over 100,000 visits annually
• Patient ratios: typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Must be flexible to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
• No floating outside of ED but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
• Every other weekend scheduling requirement
• Unable to commit to block scheduling - scheduling must meet department needs
• Navy scrubs required
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Tech support available for cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage
• Unit clerks available during days and nights
• Patient Experience requirements include AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patients updated throughout visit
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center preferred
• Must have teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Previous HCA experience preferred
