RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts with three weekend shifts per schedule period
• Care for patients on 6 East Ortho/Trauma unit with 23 beds
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Work with specialized equipment including traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Provide care for post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients
• Care for trauma patients and some neurology overflow patients
• Perform bedside shift reports and hourly rounding as part of patient experience requirements
• Float to other Med Surg level of care units including General MS, Nephrology, and Neuro/Trauma
• Work alongside unit secretary and PCTs for comprehensive patient support
• Required uniform: Navy scrubs
• Must have RN license and BLS certification
• Orthopedic experience, telemetry, and NIH stroke scale experience preferred
• Contract labor is first to float when needed
