RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Three weekend shifts required per schedule period
• Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Work on 23-bed orthopedic/trauma unit
• Care for post-operative knee, hip and shoulder replacement patients
• Treat trauma patients and some neurological overflow cases
• Work with traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Perform bedside shift reporting and hourly rounding
• Required to wear navy scrubs
• RN license and BLS certification required
• Orthopedic experience, telemetry, and NIH stroke scale knowledge needed
• Unit secretary and patient care technicians provide support
• Contract staff may float to other medical surgical units including general medical surgical, nephrology, and neuro/trauma units
