RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed emergency department serving as a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• Patient ratios: typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Must be available to work every other weekend
• No block scheduling available - scheduling must meet department needs
• Float within all sections of the emergency department (no floating outside ED)
• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department required
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Follow AIDET protocols, maintain respectful behavior, and keep patient boards updated throughout visits
• Support for patients speaking over 120 different languages in the community
