RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume (>100,000 visits) ED preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Patient ratios: typically 4:1 medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• 101-bed emergency department with 24/7 operations
• Must work every other weekend with flexible scheduling to meet department needs
• No floating outside of ED but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
• Work with equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Documentation in Cerner system
• Navy scrubs required uniform
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Patient experience requirements include AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patients updated throughout visit
• Support available from techs in cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing areas
• Unit clerks available during days and nights
